I recently had the opportunity to be a part of one of the best, if not the best, professional conferences I’ve ever attended. The 27th Annual PIONEER RESA Summer Leadership Conference, held at the Brasstown Valley Resort on June 8th – 10th, brought together the leadership of the 15 school systems that comprise Pioneer RESA for a time of training, inspiration, and planning. I would personally like to thank and congratulate Dr. Justin Old and the Pioneer RESA team for planning and conducting the conference with the utmost thought, care and precision – setting the standard for a meaningful and worthwhile education gathering.
As an event sponsor, NGN had the opportunity to introduce school leaders to the Education Exchange and its strategic resource partners. Joining Donna Unger, Michael Foor, and I at the event, were two of our newest partners:
- Haywood Pullium, founder and President of CenergyIT, and his colleague, Harold Bamberg served as an event sponsor. CenergyIT’s Interact Solution was built to perform on the Education Exchange and is a perfect fit for K-12 schools, offering sole source patented technology that provides unprecedented classroom security as well as unique visual learning opportunities, all through a private and secure connection. Haywood is offering school systems in North Georgia the opportunity to pilot the ‘Interact Solution’ for free. If you would be interested in trying the innovative Interact Solution, please contact me at [email protected]
- Also joining NGN at the event was Patty Dees, founder and Director of the Distance Learning Program at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Patty and her team have won almost every major distance learning award you can – some of them numerous times. Most recently, the Center won USDLA’s 21st Century Award for Best Practices in Distance Learning. Patty is one of the most gifted educators I have ever met and she is anxious to start working with North Georgia school systems to bring another curriculum inclusive source of fun and creativity to the classroom. Please contact me if you are interested in talking with Patty and her team about scheduling an event.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Education Exchange table. It was our pleasure to meet all of you. The education of children in North Georgia could not be in better hands or hearts. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve with each of you as we work to enrich the lives of children across the State.
