The Education Exchange can help you, as an educator, do all of the above and more. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
The following strategic resource partners offer programs and products that enable teachers to take students on virtual field trips, record and notate student speeches and oral projects, connect students with resources around the world and make the classroom an interactive learning space.
The Center for Puppetry Arts uses the art form of puppetry as a means to provide educational experiences that encourage creativity, support school-day learning, fuel holistic development and provide accessible, hands-on opportunities to participate in arts activities. Although the Center for Puppetry Arts is a favorite field trip destination for area schools, sometimes transporting a group of students to the Center is not feasible due to economic, geographic or mobility reasons. The Center’s award-winning Distance Learning Program makes it possible to reach audiences in rural and underserved areas worldwide with puppetry workshops and performances.
The Distance Learning Program uses live, interactive videoconferencing technology, webinar and recorded video to provide programming to reach audiences from Pre-K through adult in schools, libraries and other locations. Distance Learning workshops incorporate hands-on puppet-building or related arts instruction to teach curriculum-based topics in science, social studies and language arts as well as topics such as health, safety, responsibility and sharing.
